688I-Class SSN: Drydocking(click to view full) General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. in Groton, CT received a $50.7 million firm-fixed-price delivery order under the multiple award indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract (N00024-04-D-4408) for preparation and accomplishment of the FY 2007 Docking Selective Restricted Availability of the Improved Los-Angeles Class attack submarine USS Albany [SSN 753]. Work will be performed in Norfolk, VA and is expected to be complete by May 2007. Contract funds in the amount of $36.7 million will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured by the Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, DC.
