CDW-G to Supply 10,404 Laptops under ADMC-2 Contract

CDW Government (CDW-G) in Vernon Hills, IL won a $9.9 million firm-fixed-price delivery order under a previously awarded contract (W91QUZ-06-D-0003) for 10,404 general purpose laptops for the operational forces refresh program, which updates aging US military technology. The order includes logistics support requirements. The laptops have a 2-year extended warranty for a total of 5 years. Delivery of equipment is scheduled to be completed by Sept 27/09, 30 days after receipt of order. A competition was conducted for this delivery order among 8 contractors via a posting to the US Army Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions, Army Desktop and Mobile Computing (ADMC-2) contract holders, and 6 proposals were received. The Marine Corps Systems Command in Quantico, VA manages the contract. The ADMC-2 contract is the Army’s primary source for commercial off-the-shelf desktops, notebooks, ruggedized and semi-ruggedized devices, printers, and peripherals.
