US NAVFAC Pacific Issues up to $900M in Construction Contracts

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific in Pearl Harbor, HI has awarded a number of cost-reimbursement and firm-fixed-price with award fee, indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity multiple award contracts for construction, repair, and renovation projects at various US Department of Defense (DoD) installations worldwide. The maximum value of the contracts combined is $900 million. The types of projects include new construction, repair, demolition, and renovation, including utilities and waterfront work, and construction of medical facilities (hospitals, medical clinics, and/or dental clinics). Work may also include energy and water conservation projects. And the winners are… * AMEC-Nan Joint Venture in Honolulu, HI (N62742-09-D-1171); * dck/TtEC in Honolulu, HI (N62742-09-D-1172); * Environmental Chemical Corp. in Burlingame, CA (N62742-09-D-1173); and * URS Group in San Antonio, TX (N62742-09-D-1174). AMEC-Nan Joint Venture received the first task order under its contract, worth $9.6 million, to design and build a child development center located at Marine Corp Base Hawaii in Kaneohe, Hawaii. The term of the contracts is not-to-exceed 60 months, with an expected completion date of July 2014. The contracts were competitively procured via the U.S. Navy Electronic Commerce Online with 10 proposals received.
