Raytheon has clinched a $323-million contract to produce tube-launched, optically-tracked, wireless-guided (TOW) 2B top-attack missiles for the US Army. The weapons will reportedly be used in anti-armor, anti-bunker, anti-fortification, and anti-amphibious landing missions. They will be employed on various military armored platforms, including the High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled, Stryker, and Bradley Fighting Vehicles.
The Brazilian Army has requested proposals to acquire a 155mm self-propelled wheeled artillery system. The army intends to acquire two initial systems for evaluation followed by an additional 34 in multiple batches, Janes reported, citing the solicitation document.
Middle East and Africa
Alakai Defense won a $30.7 million deal to procure 10 check point explosive detection systems, as well as support equipment, spares, training, and technical publications for the government of Egypt, in support of the Systems Commands Cooperation Office. Work will be performed in Largo, Florida (75%); and Cairo, Egypt (25%), and is expected to be completed in February 2027. Foreign Military Sales customer funds in the amount of $30,719,672 will be obligated at the time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
Europe
Lockheed Martin won a $622.4 million deal to provide program management, non-recurring unique requirements, and training in support of integration efforts for the government of Germany into the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program as a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customer. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas (70%); Orlando, Florida (15%); and Greenville, South Carolina (15%), and is expected to be completed in December 2027.
The Netherlands and Denmark will provide Ukraine with much sought-after F-16 aircraft in an agreement hailed by President Volodymyr Zelensky as “historic.” The United States has approved sending F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine from Denmark and the Netherlands to defend against Russian invaders as soon as pilot training is completed. Ukraine has actively sought the U.S.-made F-16 fighter jets to help it counter Russian air superiority. Washington gave Denmark and the Netherlands official assurances that the United States will expedite approval of transfer requests for F-16s to go to Ukraine when the pilots are trained, the official said.

Shield AI and Australia-based Sentient Vision Systems have inked an agreement to offer a wide area motion imagery (WAMI) solution for the US, Australia, and other international defense customers. WAMI is an intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) approach that leverages payloads such as cameras, sensors, and other data-gathering technologies.
