240 More Kits to Up-Armor Army Tractor-Trailers

Simula Inc. of Phoenix, AZ received a $5.3 million modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 240 M915 Crew Protection Kits. The Crew Protection Kit will add protection to the M915 family of tractor-trailers against small arms fire, mines and artillery, and is considered part of the Army's transformation toward the Objective Force. This was a sole source contract initiated on March 23, 2004. Work will be performed in Phoenix, AZ and is expected to be complete by Aug. 31, 2005. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command in Warren, MI issued the contract (W56HZV-04-C-0259).
