The US Department of Defense set new policy re: EAN.CC markings for all items in the supply chain. On a related note, the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Philadelphia Division has recently issued a pair of cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contracts for program management, engineering, and technical services in support of the Navy Automatic Information Technology (AIT) Program Office. Contract winners included: Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) in San Diego, CA won an $8.5 million contract that includes options, which, if exercised, bring the total estimated value of the contract to $104.9 million (N00140-06-D-0003). Work on this contract will be performed in Camp Hill, PA; Mechanicsburg, PA; and Washington, DC, and is expected to be complete by September 2006. CACI Inc. Federal in Chantilly, VA won an $8.6 million contract that includes options, which, if exercised, bring the total estimated value of the contract to $107.1 million (N00140-06-D-0002).
